This applets shows the part of the sphere resulting from intervals \([r_1,r_2]\), \([\phi_1,\phi_2]\), \([\psi_1,\psi_2]\). The blue one is hard coded in the applet, the red one can be adjusted by the sliders.

Additionaly the curves in the \((x,y)\) and \((x,z)\)-plane are shown.
